3) Online program – the best way to find your activities

Due to many changes in the rooms allocation asked for activities proponents, the printed program and it's errata can contain some mistakes.

The best way to keep updated about WSF program is downloading a spreadsheet available in this link: (

The spreadsheet can be viewed in OpenOffice? or Excel like software.

Using the spreadsheet filters, you can sort the data by date, venue, room, organization, country or kind of activity. You can also search for organization, activity names, specific interest or participants (usually CTRL+F or CTRL+L, depending on your software language)

4) Use public or sustainable transportation – bike taxis available inside the territory

It's strongly recommended that all WSF participants don't use private cars to reach the World Social Forum Territory (UFPA and UFRA).

No cars will be allowed inside the territory, except service vehicles and media professionals that need to carry equipment.

In order to avoid traffic jams, pollution and stress when accessing the territory, some bus lines are available for all participants (costs R$1,70). By using collective transportation, you contribute to environment and to reduce the traffic jams (only three cars can circulate in the space used by a bus carrying about 50 people).

Bicycles are welcome inside UFRA and UFPA, and the best way to move around the territory. A special service of bike taxis (pedicabs) will be available all over the territory.

Shuttle bus lines will also be available connecting the two universities.

6) Convergence square – an important novety

One of the news at World Social Forum 2009 is the Convergence square where the participants in the workshops and seminars may present ideas to other participants. From the second day of the forum untill the last day you may present the conclusions from your discussions, as well as your proposals for campaigns and other actions that you intend to develop further after the forum.

Those we are organizing an assembly on the morning of 1 February may as well announce the assembly at this venue.

The convergence square is located at the UFPA, at Atelier de Artes (follow the signs).

The organizers of these activities can post texts, images and posters with their conclusions and proposals on the panels that are available. There are also tables and chairs available where you may disuss with interestered participants and give more information.

Do not miss the chance to go to the Convergence Square to make your proposals better known and to learn about all that is being discussed at the 2009 WSF.

If you wish your conclusions and results to be posted on the FSM site, there will be volunteers at the venue to assist you.
