EIOS 1 and 2 Evaluation Report

EIOS 1: Informal Activities

In addition to the formal group activities, we also had a lot of time for informal socializing and interpersonal exchange. Beyond providing delicious vegetarian food, meal times also provided an important space for discussions and getting to know one another and our hosts in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Several of us also made daily trips to the river below to escape the mid-day heat and learn about one another in a more intimate setting. Finally, others of us continued talking late into the night about politics, the Forum, our past histories, and our lives back home. These moments were crucial in terms of building a greater level of intimacy and trust, which allowed us to make the most of our collective explorations.
