<p class="spip">On January 26th and 27th, 2009, the Sciences and
Democracy World Forum will be held in Belém (Brazil) . Unions and
researchers’associations, social and civic movements, and NGOs are
going to discuss the stakes of the democratization of sciences and
technologies such as the place of scientific research in a sustainable
world, the status of common goods of knowledge, the democratization of
scientific and technological choices, the democratic control of the
impact of BANG technologies (Bits Atoms Neurons and Genes) in real
life, the ethics and the social responsibility of researchers...</p>

registration form.</p>

<p class="spip">Les 26 et 27 janvier prochains se tiendra à Belém le
Forum Mondial Sciences et Démocratie. Syndicats et associations de
chercheurs, mouvements sociaux et ONG vont se réunir autour des enjeux
de la démocratisation des sciences et des techniques : la place de la
recherche scientifique dans un monde durable, le statut des biens
communs de la connaissance, la démocratisation des choix scientifiques
et technologiques dans nos sociétés, le contrôle démocratique à mettre
en place face à la montée en puissance des technologies de rupture (du
Bits, de l’Atome, du Neurone et et du Gène), l’éthique et la
responsabilité sociale des chercheurs.</p>
