Dear everyone,

I will be convening a panel on the future of the World Social Forum at
Left Forum 2009. I welcome you all to come to the event and the
conference. Perhaps all of us can connect for an evening in NYC.
Please contact me if you're interested in this possibility.

The Panel: "What has the WSF Accomplished?"

Will focus on the following questions: what are the achievements of
the WSF? How does the WSF need to evolve in order to respond to our
historic juncture? How can the WSF make the current conjuncture into a
turning point for the Left?"

Chair:
Thomas Ponniah (Network Institute for Global Democratization)

Speakers:

Walden Bello (Focus on the Global South)
Heather Gautney (Fordham)
Walda Katz-Fishman (USSF)
Jerome Scott (Project South)
Lauren Lang (GSA)
